Pune, January 4, 2026 – अगले महीने PMC Elections 2026 होने वाले हैं, और Pune के वोटर अब मुख्य civic issues को लेकर candidates से जवाब मांग रहे हैं। राजनीतिक पार्टियाँ अपने विधान और विकास के वादे कर रही हैं, लेकिन water supply, traffic congestion, roads infrastructure, metro delays, और local governance accountability जैसे मुद्दे वोटर की पहली पसंद बन चुके हैं।

1. Water Supply and Continuous Paani (पानी की आपूर्ति)
Pune के कई क्षेत्रों में रोज़ाना पानी की समस्या और irregular supply ने लोगों को परेशान किया है। Residents चाहते हैं कि अगला PMC body पानी की reliable supply और sustainable water management पर काम करे। नागर की charter तक पूछ रही है कि 24×7 water supply सुनिश्चित हो और unauthorized connections को regularize किया जाए।
2. Road Infrastructure (Sadak Infrastructure) and Maintenance
Pune में कई इलाकों में roads अभी भी poor हालत में हैं। Residents के demands में better road repairs, timely restoration, और proper traffic planning शामिल हैं। Past funds में से ज्यादा का उपयोग roads improvement के लिए नहीं हुआ, जिससे accountability पर सवाल उठ रहे हैं।
3. Traffic Congestion (यातायात जाम की समस्या)
City में हर दिन rush hour में traffic snarls हैं। Areas जैसे Kothrud, Baner–Balewadi और Shivajinagar में खासकर सुबह‑शाम की traffic jams बड़ी चिंता बनी हुई है। Traffic police ने 100+ pothole और waterlogging spots identify किए हैं, जो jams में direct कारण हैं।
4. Metro Delays and Public Transport Improvements
Pune Metro जैसे बड़े transport project delays ने लोगों की उम्मीदों को प्रभावित किया है। Voters चाहते हैं कि candidates metro and public transport को faster completion timeline दें ताकि commuting आसान हो सके।
5. Local Governance and Accountability (प्रशासनिक जवाबदेही)
लोग चाहते हैं कि PMC councillors पारदर्शी निर्णय लें, waste management सुधारे और civic complaints का prompt समाधान करें। Citizen manifestos में कई residents ने redevelopment issues, traffic bottlenecks और infrastructure pressure जैसे localized problems को शामिल किया है।
